I wouldn't put a two speed in anything i have. But that's just me and single speed is better for racing.

2 speeds are faster, but i think they add some weight and its just another thing that needs tuned and can go wrong

I am just guessing but with a 2 speed you do away with the center differential and if so this sure could create problems. Yes a 2 speed is not sanction race legal. I guess if all you do is bash on the street is might be OK.

if you dont have the center dif then ok but if you do youll spin out alot. i hit 2 mailboxes with my jato cuz it spun out when i hit the brakes (little bit was my fualt too). im guessing itll probly handle differently w/o the center diff (correct me if im wrong)

well with out the cent diff the same amout of power will go to all 4 wheels but as for turning and stuff there will still be the front and rear diff.

Whit out a center diff it will be much harder to keep the front wheels on the ground and if id does not have a slipper in the 2 speed running off road you are subject to tear up the drive train.

Im putting the mbx ultra 2 speed in my ultra comp 2 the only thing i need is 2 8x19 mm bearings the stock bearings ar 7x19 and the ones that came in the kit are 8x16. and you can keep the frount brake youll have to move the lever to the top like the rear and use one servo push rod . or like the diagrame you can dubble up the disk in the rear.
