I "came up" on OFNA back in the early 1980's with the original HODR. I have had other OFNAs since, and have never been disappointed in an OFNA product (although that HODR was a bear!). The Ultra is an older design but a pretty good buggy. If you can swing it you might get more value for your $$ going for a an OFNA Hyper 7. I have had very good luck with mine. I've just gotten the Hyper 8.5 and love it, and I'm getting the ST Pro after Christmas to give the trucks a try at racing in the Spring - that's how much I believe in OFNA. Although, I am also looking at the TT ST-1 Pro which looks like a good bang for the buck.

I can't comment on Redcat since I've never owned one. The only other three machines I've ever considered outside of the OFNA family are the Thnder Tiger ST-1 Pro, XRAY's XT8, and Kyosho's ST-RR. The last two are quite pricey, but they are high quality racers.
