GS Storm Engine
Hi everybody. I'm a monster truck racer, but I have recently aqquired a GS Storm with a GS Storm .21. I'm having issues starting it, I changed out the glow plug, new fuel lines, and cleaned the engine inside and out. The compression is great on it too. Does anyone have any suggestions for figuring out what might be some good start out settings for the needles? Better yet, does anyone know what they are? Thanks

RE: GS Storm Engine
You should be able to go to the manufacturers web site and find the factory settings for the needles.
I think I read some where on here that a good starting point is one turn out on the low speed needle, and three turns out on the high speed. That sounds a little lean to me though.
Each engine is different. Try the manufacturers web site first.

Keep richening it until you can get it to start turning over on its own. Start with the LSN flush with its housing, and the HSN about 4 turns out. If it is then acting flooded (will only start for a little bit, then die again), raise the idle a bit. If its still bad then lean it back out in small increments until it will stay running.

I try factory setting on mine but it didn't work there was so much fuel coming out of the exhaust i used a half a tank in two minuts.
I leaned eaverything about one full turn from factory so far so good but never stays in tune.
