Go Tech 7p for Losi Eight Buggy
Hey all i just bought a brand new Go Tech .21 7 port off ebay for $195! I thought it was a good deal an its coming from a reputable seller... Anyways... Will my flywheel/clutchbell assembly etc fit fine on this engine? Or am i going to have to get some new parts? I hope it all just moves right over... One more quick question... Iam going to need a few more weeks before i can buy a new pipe for this motor... Is the pipe that came with the 427 ok to use untill i get a new pipe? Thanks all!

I know several fellas with the gotech 7port in their 8 and they are having good luck with them..I wouldnt although some of the guys put the o.s.21f carb on them which is a $70 upgrade that dials the 7port in a bit more steady...wow you just got a great deal on a great engine...I'll buy it off you for 195.00 lol

Yeah, I have the OS .21 VG and put that carb on my GO 7 Port. I've been through 2 GO carbs. I think they need to work on that department. I believe the Losi HT pipe is a midrange pipe much like the 053. Correct me if I'm wrong (anyone), but it should work well. I've been using it and seems fine for me.
I think the GO 7 Port is plenty engine for the 8ight. Like Mabuecker said, there are a handful of us in this area that have the GO 7 Port and are liking it so far. A few bugs have been worked out, but for the most part it's a great engine. If you have a LHS that is not carrying the GO engines I'd suggest asking them to make the phone call and get a few in stock. Racefactor seems to be a mom and pop distributor; they are very helpful and deal with you on a personal level. Check out their contingency program. It's a great deal!

The old carbs just needs a little permatex and they're good to go. The Losi pipe works fine with the 7P, but for 50 bucks you can get a Dynamite 053 that will work better. The Losi clutch is fine, just remember to get the collet off the old engine.

Hey integra, I was just in a thread yesterday debating with a guy that the Permatex Ultra Copper was not fuel proof but he didn't belive me, Whats funny is I tested Permatex Ultra something, that was meant to resist fuel, but it still instantly dissolved when it hit nitro.
