Yeah I have been slacking a little bit. Had to replace a battery tray on my Fusion so was waiting for the part and also had to send my Medusa motor in for warranty. Got everything all back and installed now. Also got a new charger finally so I can now buy some Lipo's. I am going to order 2 Diggity Designs 5300 mAh 28C 7.4V Hard Cased LiPO Battery Packs.

Here is some pics of the new body I made for the Fusion. Still waiting on my Lipo's. Found out today they were not in stock but on order so I have to wait for there delivery to show up first. Also just put some big bores on it. Sold my old ZX1-R and used the shocks for this.

Ran my Fusion today with some new Lipo's I got. First time running with Lipo's and WOW. This thing is fast!! Handles alot better than with NIMH because of alot less weight and the car rotates way better in the corners. Nice being able to clear some big jumps even if you mess up a little coming out of the turn compared to my nitiro. Can finally go out and race electric now that I have a couple sets of batteries. I like it alot better.

Got a couple pics of my last race day. Trying some new things with the Fusion. Working great so far. The day of the pics my Mamba Monster decided to go bad. Found out I have a V2 one and they are going to warranty it and send me the new version free!!

Caster Racing USA is pleased to announce that once again at the farm, Caster Racing takes 1&2 in the A main. Dennis Allison, Team Caster Racing and Team Tekin driver won the A main and TQed for the day. Chris Figueroa, eastern regional manager of Caster Racing USA and owner of holeshothobbies.com came in second. Both are running Caster Racing fusion electric buggies. Congratulations guys. proving once again that the Caster Racing fusion is competitive in the United States.

Tim Mohr 1/18 national Champion getting it done with the Caster Fusion also at the RC Pro Series Great Lakes Division.

Also just got the new Buggy body for all the Caster buggies! Very nice. Here is a pic below on my Fusion

Hi all. I've decided to sell my MBX6 with Ninja 21 and get a Fusion. Any suggestions on motor and speed control set-up. I want at least as much power as I have with my Mugen set-up. Currently I can out power anything on the track. I want to stay that way.
I'm really looking forward to changing to electric. Any help would be great.
Thanks

I have seen 3 setups and ran 2 setups on my Fusion. I had a Medusa afterburner and Mamba Monster ESC and the bottom end was great, could clear anything a nitro could plus about 10 feet LOL! Top end I think lacked a little bit but was on par with high end motors down the straights. I was using the original Fusion battery setup with (2) 2S packs ranging from 3200 up to 5800's

I also seen and raced against another Caster Driver with the Tekin setup for motor and esc. He was running 5S packs and everywhere around the track I was on par with him BUT the straight. He made me look like I hit reverse! Tekin is a very nice system.

I am now running the Schumacher Speedpassion Silver arrow motor and ESC. Have not raced it yet but I can see it is a big step up from the medusa motor. Bottom end is way more as well as acceleration and top speed and very smooth. I really like it and seems easy to drive. Nice thing about it is you do not need a laptop to program it. It already comes with a handheld computer digital programmer!!

I have heard of a couple guys using the Mamba complete setup but do not know how good they are as I have not spoken to them or seen them yet.

Hope this helps.

The medusa is a very good motor, BUT, the Caster runs the motor backwards, so if you lawndart into the face of a double, the endbell will pop off if you do it enough times. I know that Medusa is modifying their motors because of this, but I wanted to make people aware. On a e-revo, etc... where the motor is mounted endbell to the rear, it is not an issue.

Speedpassion, Castle, and Tekin all provide good systems, just keep an eye out for temps.

I know if you run a 2600 system at 6s, there is no way a nitro could even begin to come close and you will be frustrated unless you really crank down the throttle, but at that point, what was accomplished. RC Driver got a castle system with maxamps batteries (4s) to go 71 mph in just over 4 seconds.

I have to try and find out a motor setup for mine ASAP. I just picked up one of these kits and the 2200kv castle is way too big. Is the 2650 too much poweR? I like running on the lower side of 2000kv for my electrics.

Most people that I know are saying the 2650 is good for the truggy and the lower KV's good for the buggy. Anything 2200 or less I would say is just fine. I now run the Speedpassion system on my fusion and the Medusa motor before that. Check out the casterracingusa.com forums in the electric section. I am not too knowledgeable yet to be giving out good info on electric motor setups so I do not want to steer you in the wrong direction. There are a ton of guys in the caster electric forums that can help you get what you need right away. Hope that helps out.

You would be good with motors around the 1800 - 2200kv in buggy.
The Castle 2200 is too long hence why guys have been using teh 2650 but most say its a bit too much power.
With the Tekin and Speedpassion combos you wont go wrong and they have excellent support if you do.
Speedpassion 8.5 or 7.5 motors and Tekin has a 1900kv that i have been told is a monster.

A friend Rick Jenkins and his Caster Fusion buggy. Pretty good battles if you take the time to watch it. Nice video!

Also the Fusion Race Roller is now on sale at the Caster Racing website for $235! Awesome buggy for the price!

Here is Jonathan Hernandez beating RYAN CAVALIERI, MIKE TRHUE, TYLER VIK, and a few other famous guys in the dash for cash. He ended up 3rd in the electric A main, but still a podium for Caster Racing.
