A lot has to do with the driver or are you talking about drag racing? Is your hyper a sports engine or the race which I think is 8 port. I am guessing you are talking about an OS V Spec? The V Spec is a wicked engine.

the regular .21 8 port lacks on bottom end power, but it has an crazy top end and the OS V-Spec has all around power... the .21 hyper pro race engine works better IMO... you can also order the .21 hyper 8 port engine with the turbo head from RCMart, the turbo head hyper engine has more all around power than the standard plug engine...

no way!!! but the turbo hyper.21 8 port has an insane top end, and the 3 port turbo is pretty damn good with plenty low/mid power...
