My 1 to 1 car is not small by any means and it takes just about all the room to carry what I take to the track. This is a picture of some of the tires I take.

Put it this way.....

I fill up the bed of my pickup and still don't have enough room for all my junk.

A very nice pit trailer IS in my future.

Spare engine(s) are definitely a good idea.

I carry enough spares to build and run another whole buggy/truggy.
Engines and electronics included.

You can NEVER have enough spare junk.........

I aquired a small camper trailer in decent shape outside inside was trashed. Gutted it put in a desk/work bench and am converting it to strictly my RC trailer LOL just to carry all the stuff and have a place to work on my cars / planes when I go out.

Other than tires or glow plugs, I personally hate fixing things at the track. My racing buggy is a hyper 8.5. As a back-up, I have a hyper 7 that I bring with me. Should the 8.5 break, the 7 is ready to go. Throughout all of 2008, my primary car ran perfectly. I never needed the 7, but I did loan it out a couple times to other people who had car problems.

I see some guys come to the track with a enough stuff to supply a small hobby shop. There is nothing wrong with that either...whatever "floats your boat."

going to the track can be like an rc swap meet. if your going up to the track to burn a bottle maybe just take what you need but at least take and leave rc goods in the car. it amazes me as many times as I misplaced an item and then blame somebody for stealing it and then i find my misplaced tool or whatever right under somthing and ended up nobody stole it after all. my point to this is out of all of the guys at the track usually everone is honest. its just good to know that while your away from your stuff for 30 minutes at a time racing that your stuffs safe.also you asked how many sets of tires. id say 2 sets of similar but different tread,so 4 sets total.that is 2 sets of same tire x 2(so you can get used to same tire then switch to fresh, then have 2 more sets that are the same for same reason) I usually try using different set every heat or 1st 2 or 3 heats use same then for main glue up a new/or clean set. you will see a good difference with new tires.
