Hard time deciding on QUALITY servo.
There are so many choices for great servos I'm having a hard time deciding on a throttle servo, my last servo burned out due to water damage...long story... I want some opinions to help me decide, I love Hitec servos, but others have caught my eye, I had an Airtronics and it was great to me I just want to hear some of your opinions/experiences with others to help me make a decision....NO CHEAP-O SERVOS, The money is no object when it comes to a servo IMO, Thanks in advance for input.

RE: Hard time deciding on QUALITY servo.
I just bought a new (but previously owned) Hitec 7955TG off of ebay for 86 dollars shipped.
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-Digital-Servo
333oz torque at .15 speed.
I was using a hitec 645mg for the steering and I was getting frustrated on it turning like a boat when the gas is applied.
I am going to put the hitec 645mg for my gas/break when I drop the new servo in.
I also bought 16 sets of buggy tires for like 80 bucks also Couple good deals on ebay.
I need to buy a tuned pipe next. Was looking at the JP-3 (something with a stinger protector - lost my last pipe to bent stinger.)

Hitec [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/products_id/6775/n/Hitec-HS-985MG-Ultra-Torque-HD-Metal-Gear-Servo-S-JR-Z]985[/link] for durability or a Futaba servo for smoothness. I have the S9451 but I got it in a trade, but it is soooo smooth. My Airtronics is horrible. I sent it in for repair and $50 later it still has tons of resistence when moving it back and forth. 645 for throttle, your kidding me right? I would go for 625 for throttle, alot faster speed.

The speed of a 645 is .20 seconds. The speed of a 625 is .15. If you can the difference between .05 of a second - you are a better man than I am.

I use the Hi-tec 965mg for throttle, and i really like it. I had a cheap no name servo before and i'll never go back to those cheap servos again. Th 5995mg is great for steering, if you ever need one of those.

Unfortunately to the best of my knowledge the 7940TH's are not available yet, you can't go wrong with a 7955TG though, as many others stated:

And if you absolutely, positively have to have the best, accept no substitutes:

Going with Hitec 7940TH. Thanks.

RE: Hard time deciding on QUALITY servo.
I am using a standard servo for the brake & throttle, I use a traxxas high torgue servo for the steering. Works good for me for all my nitro buggies and on-road cars.
