RE: sperpent cobra s811
If your talking about the 8th scale buggy.yes i know the driver that designed it and seen him race it because he races at the rc club i,m in.his name is billy easton.now for the buggy it is incredibly smooth like nothing i,ve seen before,it cut corners better than any of the 8th scale buggies i,ve seen, and for the most part it looks likes it's pretty durable.any other questions email me at [email protected].I hope this helped you out.

$500 for a Serpent ain't a bad deal. Their on-road cars have been some of the best around. The MP9 is what? $700 for their top-of-the-line model? And I'm pretty sure this is on par with that. Even the "cheap" version of the MP9 is more expensive. Tthe Losi is more expensive...

i would pay $300 for a kit but thats about it.
figure you spend 150-200 on servos
300-500 on a engine
50-60 on a clutch system
200-500 on a radio
so atleast $1200 for a decent kit at $500
oh well- i'll let someone else pay full price then buy it later down the road second hand

RE: sperpent cobra s811
The fact they're mounted on the inside? Or the built in mud guards?
**edit: Are there any other buggies that incorporate sway bars mounted in that fashion? I've only ever seen them mounted against the outside of the diff case.

Neobuggy was talking about how having the shock that close to the exhaust header might have an adverse effect on damping, but I don't think the average racer would notice. I do like how they took cues from other buggies like the Losi-style front suspension and the adjustable brake bias ala Tamiya. Maybe I'm missing something, but having the sway bars mounted inboard would make them a bit of a pain to change?

RE: sperpent cobra s811
for tommygun no, this is a new design so if it works out other companies might grab the idea.but as of right now no there aren't any buggies that incorporate it right now.

RE: sperpent cobra s811
for "k b" the exhuast would not affect anything and besides the sway bars are a good design and probably not require alot of attention because the driver was at the track all day and he said there wasn't much to change because the stock setup works well for most tracks.

RE: sperpent cobra s811
kman, any idea how Billy finished overall? When and where he's running next? Does he have like an 'update' site or something? It sounds like this buggy is still in its development stages and I'm deff interested in following its progress.

RE: sperpent cobra s811
Well, the car only comes in nitro form but if they improve the design there might be an electric one.the good thing about my 8ight,s are one is electric and it is very easy to convert and i love the power the mamba produces.
