Default Want a 1/8 Brushless

Anyone have suggestions for someone looking for a RTR 1/8 brushless system? I'd like to try and get a 2.4Ghz radio in the deal too. I don't mind piecing something together either if it makes sense. The car will be for bashing for now. I'm good to go on charger and batteries. I'd like to try and stay in the $500 max range.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Take a look at the Caster Racing EX1-R RTR. Comes with everything you need. Just supply your own batteries.

Do you have one or have you used one? Curious how tough it is. Would parts be readily available on the caster?

I had one for just about a year. Just sold it. Sticking to nitro this year. Casters are extremely tough and reliable. Parts are readily avaiable from casterracingusa.com, holeshothobbies.com, stormerhobbies.com and some other places if you look around. All have tons of parts and fast shipping.

If you live near me, you can take a look at my ZX1.5R that I race and run it if you like. Its the same buggy, just the nitro version. I know nitro and electric are different in how they drive but you get to see basically the same buggy up close.

The Caster rigs are great. I have been beating up on a Fusion 1.5R for just over a month on the track and off, and have yet to experience any issues. The buggy handles incredibly well, and is very durable. I did order some spares that I haven't used yet from casterracingusa.com and the parts arrived quickly as well so if you were to break it you would have replacement parts within a few days. No worries with Caster Racing. Top notch quality all the way.[8D]
