Whats the best ofna rtr kit
What do you all think of the ofna ultra LX one
i just orderd one today but its on backorder. so i have time to change it to somthing else.
So far i found a good deal of hop ups for both the ultra and the hyper 7 series. not too many for the jammin.
i want to beat my friends revo with a .28 pico engine and many other mods.
so im planning on putting a 2 speed transmission in on the ofna and playing with the gear ratio untill i beat him.
Any suggestions on what i should get

RE: Whats the best ofna rtr kit
i bought the picco buggy back in early may and have been really happy.Chose the picco over the other rtrs for the picco motor, been really easy to tune, and holds tune well. with any rtr plan on upgrading the servos right away. currently running a hitec 7955 for steering and a 645 for throttle. the only part i have broken is 1 front lower a arm. over all been really happy. hope this helps

on most ofna buggies they use plastic servo horns, replace those along with the two high torque servos, make sure the tires are fully glued

if you get a membership at tower, they hook you up with coupons all the time.
they send me coupons that give me anywhere from 15$-60$ off depending on my purchase total.
like if i spend 300$ they give me 60$ off
if i spend 125$ i get 20$ off

In my opinion, get a HONG NOR (= OFNA = JAMMIN) X1 or X2 RTR buggy (for racing and mild bashing) or truggy (for more bashing).
There are a LOAD of hop up parts available for these models (especially the X1) on amainhobbies.com. But honestly, they don't really need a whole lot unless you are into some serious racing and need to lighten the whole thing.
Yes! change the servos. Get a Z-brace. And if you want to beat your mate with a .28, get ahold of supertib (on this website) and get a JPX .21 (PICCO based) modded motor from him and marry it with a Dynamit 086 pipe.
(It will mean you'll need a starter box or bump starter and batteries)
JOB DONE!
Good luck and let us know what you've decided on.......4 posts so far, come back to this one, eh...
