Default How to mount homelite 26cc mightylite

Hello everyone,

This is an out of topic question, but I´ve seen in some searchs that you guys from Rc Airboats have been able to find a way to mount the new homelite 26cc Mightylite engines, the ones with the angled backplate.

Could anyone tell me please and if possible post some pics on how you figured out to mount it.

I have coneverted one for an RC aircraft and cant seem to figure out how to mount it to the firewall.

In advance thank you very much for your help

I was looking for that yesterday because I got another garage sale Homelite.  I can't find it again, but it was on page 7 I think but can't remember which forum.  Anyway, The gentleman used about 1/2" by 1/8" or maybe 3/16" alum. I think.  He bent one bracket for each side having the back straight, and just bending the rest to bolt on the 45 degree backplate holes.  I don't think I could get the quote on here if I tried, and have trouble scanning things sometimes.  Maybe someone else can chime in.  Try a search in the Engine Conversions section too.  He also showed a standoff with a 45 degree angle cut on one end and a shorter one for the top.  It was hidden from view with the muffler.
