Its been a while
Its been many of moons since I've been able to work on the airboats and still looking at a few more moons before I can get back into it. How many of the old guys still check this place out and what has every one been up to. Let me see some of yall builds.

RE: Its been a while
I still come here. My building had stalled out as well as my running time. I've been running a bit as of late and I am converting one of my large scale SI 3 pointers to brushless electric.

I frankensteined my little SI3 .20 with a Jett .35 and built a SI3 .60 with a piped SuperTigre S90.
The little SI3 .20 needs the sponson skin replaced on both sides due to the boat being way too fast. Even the fiberglass couldn't hold out. This boat has ran a confirmed 49.8mph, but now is easily capable of 55+mph.
Crispy - after I put a shorter rudder on the SI .20 and ran it, I couldn't stop giggling like a little school girl. It's stupid fast now.

Looking good and very nice speed.
Nice to see a few of the old school guys around. I have a few weeks left on this job then if I'm lucky I'll get more than a few weeks off/

Hey Hal! Good to see you back on the forum. Sadly I think everyone will agree it has been pretty slow on here lately. As far as boats go, I have not messed with an airboat since last year sometime. Dennis

I see you've done your homework, running pretty darn good and looks great. I see Cajun on the thread. I haven't talked to him since his site went down and sounds like he's doing alright.

Been a while for me too. Packed up all my stuff when we moved a year and a half ago. Been busy getting settled. Flown my Parrot AR Drone a bit, and put a FPV on an RC truck to chase raccoons, but not done anything with the airboats. Maybe when it cools off enough to play in the garage, I'll get my Anarchy airboat up and running.

With the video receiver antenna sitting on a workbench, I can get fairly clear video around my yard. By putting outside on a mast, should be able to cover most of my end of the block. It's easy enough to put the raw video feed into a recorder, but I used a Flip video camera to record exactly what I seen when driving. This is video of the 7" LCD monitor on the workbench.

I plan on mounting a similar setup on a rescue airboat I'll be building, based on this video:
