Default Swamp Dawg air boat comminf?

I have the Alligator Tours air boat and it's ok but I would like something that will move on wet grass and an algae filled pond so...
I have a Swamp Dawg air boat on the way. (used) it appears to have the stock brushless motor but a 2s to 4s ESC,
Any tips? Dare i run the stock motor on 3s? Thanks; Don

Hey Don, Have you tried posing your question under the electric section, even though an airboat I would be inclined to ask the question in regards to the set up your trying achieve. I haven't seen a lot of electric action going on here, just a thought, Cheers,

If the ESC is rated for up to 4s (I assume that's what is meant by 2s-4s) then there should be no issue running on 3s.

With 3s battery it runs on my grass a little but after a few minutes the motor shaft broke. I put a collet type adapter on the stub (1/8")and so far the prop has stayed on.
New motor on order , I do not trust the short stub to keep the prop on.

Update :took it to the pond. I was afraid that with the battery on top it might turn over but it did not. Ran fine, i could start on algae with no problem.
Didn't turn real tight so I moved the rudder servo holes to more movement. Speed was good . With the wind i had trouble keeping it strait so I did not use full throttle all the time. nice to have "extra" throttle!
I also ran my "alligator tours". I ran better than before . I replaced the stock connectors with "Deans plugs" and I think that helped performance some. Don
