CXN - Airboat Pod ....convert your boogie board into an airboat.
UPDATE 9-30-2015 = FINAL VERSION DONE Video and Pics bellow.
Working on a Universal Airboat Pod to be used with Boogie Boards = Large, FUN and cheap.
PROTOTYPE AIRBOAT POD PROBLEMS
1) Motor and Propeller combination was right, but my motor was damaged and only provided me with 50% throttle before the ESC started to bog on me due to the overload protection cut off. I was unable to reach full speed..... FIXED AND NEW VIDEO BELLOW
2) The boogie board cost me only $10, bottom material sucks, it has a cheap plastic rough cloth underneath and it doesn't glide to well....$30 boogie boards have a nice flat plastic bottom that will not drag as much and glide much better too......new boogie board coming soon.
The airboat pod is made from laser cut ABS, it will come with a simple "Plano waterproof case" that fits battery and receiver.
It can use any standard size waterproof servo, and waterproof ESC "Boat ESC"
This is a protoype pod, the single rudder seems to work ok, but I will design one with 2 rudders and compare. FINAL VERSION HAS 2 RUDDERS
PROTOTYPE TEST limited to 50% throttle due to damaged motor and esc protection throttle cut off.
Beach at Isabela, Puerto Rico

New motor with new 2 rudder design, finish and ready for a new boogie board. Runs fast by itself.
The motor/prop/Servo combination is:
HK15139 Waterproof servo $5
NTM 1400kv brushless motor $17
Hobbyking 50Amp Boat ESC $20
APC 8x6 Propeller $3
Plano 3449 Waterproof Storage Case $5
CXN - Airboat Pod (ABS parts and Stainless steel screws) TBD

You can RC control the pod only on the floor by itself, no need of water or boogie board, you can also add this pod to airboat hulls too. the plano box is big enought for a 3S 4000mAh battery and receiver.
