Hardware advice for total novice
Looking to start an airboat project this Easter break with my son.
I'm a total newbie to RC builds but the project is part educational (for me and my lad), and part recreational so I'm expecting a bit of trial and error for the actual boat build while we figure out what works.
However - when it comes to the hardware I need a complete electric set up that will be fairly straight forward and allow us some fun and decent speed on lakes etc.
I've done some reading and am looking at a DIY version of something like the Dumas li'l swamp buggy. I have looked at some other set ups and this is the kit list I've compiled so far, just want to know if this will do the job to a decent standard.

I'd really appreciate any advice before I make a total fool of myself at the local pond!
I'm UK based if that makes any difference.
Thanks in advance!
