CXN Mini Airboat
I have been working on updated version of my Anarchy airboat for about 2 years now, to many things kept me from finishing the new design, this one should be more stable on all 3 sizes and with the newer smaller brushless motor out there, now I can make a mini version too .
the 24" has been tested on water and runs great, the 48" should be fine too, but the mini with a 3s lipo is super fast, I made the test with a 2s lipo on the video, just to cruise around the house.
My plans are to make 3 sizes
10-12" (this one pictured)
24" electric
48" electric or gas
One of the reason I started on this hobby, is because I loved building car with my father when they use to come in 100 pieces, now everything comes RTR and it's not that fun, I want to bring back that real old school hobby , where you build the boat, car or plane yourself from a kit.
Here are some pics and video of the final prototype.
90% of the hull is finish, just need a little tweaking for the waterproof compartment, and motor mount.
Price to be determined, I have a wood supplier nearby, but I need to find hobby grade wood at decent prices to keep it cheap.
What do you guys think?
