Trying to find foam
I want to scratch build a hull. I have looked all over trying to find Polyurethane Foam. I haven't had much luck. The only thing I found was the 2 part mix. I was hoping to find sheets. Do I just build a big box and dump in the expanding 2 part foam and make my own? What are my options? Inexpensive ones of course.

RE: Trying to find foam
The place that you find the 2 part mix you should be able to find the sheets. We have a place here called Industrial paints and plastics, they carry everything from paint, rubbers, plastics, lexan, CF cloth, FG cloths, resins, and foams. I am almost positive that that is the name of the foam, now that i think about it i do remember asking the guys there which foam is impervious to polyester resin. However a friend of mine that does repair work on racing shells told me about the polyureathane foam.

RE: Trying to find foam
why wayste a bunch of good 2 part foam that could be used for filling a wood hull????????
just go to home depo, they have 8'x4'x2"sheets of pink foam board there for $5.00, and if you need fan-fold you can get that in a 3.5'x50'x1/8-1/16" for around $25.00 and believe me that stuff goes a along way, i thought it would go fast, boy was i wrong, my basement is kinda full right now LMAO, they also have a coated foam that's black that comes in 8'x4'x2" and that stuff is tuff,
