Questions about hull?
HI, I have a kickboard as a hull ( It looks like little beads of styrofoam and it has a material covering?) and I was going to paint it and I was wondering what sort of paint I could use with out it eating into the foam.
Thanks
( Its my first airboat and I don't want to stuff it up)

RE: Questions about hull?
I believe it is a cheaper version of a wake board. Like a mini surfboard. I would think it would need to be sealed with an epoxy or such , the ones I have seam are made from a strong form of styrofoam . I am sure dadaddyro or chris will fill in from here.

little kids use them to put their hands on them and they kick with their feet so they don't sink.
Thats why they call them kick boards.

First .... we call them kick boards over here too ... ( at least in Ft Lauderdale , we did ) ( years ago , when I was a lifeguard , we ALSO called them kick boards - but that was MANY , MANY , MANY moons ago ... )
And about the paint ... you have LOTS of options ...
you could use a interior latex house paint as primer then use your choice of paints , or Design Master paints , most of which can be had at crafts stores Or oil based paint. DO NOT USE WATER BASED PAINTS as they will deteriorate/eat/melt the styrofoam.
Hope this helped . The first , is what I would suggest ... that way , you can use ANY shaker can ( spray can ) paint you choose , without having to hunt down a certain brand or color .
Slap on some standard interior latex and use as a primer . ( any color of course ... )

RE: Questions about hull?
Brosbros,
Yes, www.rcairboats.net is my site. And thanks for the compliment!
I would have to say that it would need to be covered with epoxy resin to seal the foam to protect it from any paint. Once you have the foam sealed you can paint with whatever you want as long as it is fuel proof if you are going to be using a nitro motor. If the paint isn't fuel proof you can seal the paint with a clear polyurethane. Or top coat the paint with another coat of epoxy resin, this will some what make the paint scratch proof (to an extent).
