Default A HA sucsess!

Just finsihed the week long project of making my first airboat. Thanks to Cajun for the plans and all the input this forum has given me.
This was a hoot to do and I can see why these things are so adicting.
I ran it today with a 9X6 3 blader, and it ran great, then I checked it with a 10X7 and ran even faster. Its gonna be great entertainment. I had a GPS that I just quickly strapped in and it clocked out on the grass at 35mph, and that was with the 9X6 and the 10X7 clocked at 41 mph. Heres some pics

Wow that is really moving out. What size engine are you running? I did wonder just how fast one of these hulls would run. I knew they are quick, but I did not think they would be that quick. 30mph is fast and you just blew by that. Good job!

Nice!!
Great build!

Thanks for the GPS readings.

Hal designs great boats. I have had the pleasure of running one of his personal boats my self...loved it.
I may have to add one of his hulls to my collection in the future.

Looking at your boat again, I notice just one thing you can do to improve it. Box in the top of the grass rake about 1" back, this will give it extra strenght, incase of an head on miss hap.
Next step for me is to get a GPS and check the speed onthe .61 and the .46 hulls. Tanks for the note.
