Default New Cajun Dragon Build

Well, here I go, building my first airboat. Building them sure is different than just driving one. Thanks to Mr. Cajun Gator, playtime56 and Bonehead.
Mr. Cajun Gator, your step-by-step instructions are great and with some help from Bonehead and your encouragement, you guys have convinced me I can do this.
The Engine will be a O.S. 40FP that Playtime56 has so generously donated, and the radio will be a Futaba 2PL which I got for Christmas from Bonehead. Also, the Cajun Dragon is a kit that I got from [link=http://www.cajungatorairboats.com]Canjun Gator Airboats[/link]
So without further ado....here's what we have so far.

Here she is, the finished product, Valkyrie. I have had great fun building this boat, now we need a little warmer weather and less wind and we can get some vids!
I want to say a big thank you to all the guys for the help and suggestions along the way.
And, Pete, Gordy and Hal...you guys rock!

Well, I'll guess I'll throw in my 2 cents now!!

She's definately be able to outrun me....but if she gets close...I can just run her over!! Once the weather warms up a little more, the snow's gonna FLY! I can't wait to run both airboats together!!! I'll give her a run for the money......but I think I'm already whipped...[sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

Thanks Wave Waker. I am glad you find the pics helpful. I had a lot of help from my airboating friends, with out them I would have probably made a mess...I'm a newbie too...this is my first airboat.

Well Guys....

We finally got some nice weather...although the sun was only out for a few minutes more.....but we NEEDED to start this thing up!!!

Primed the engine, put on the glow starter and 3 flips later......VALKYRIE LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!

Since our side yard is sooooo small, Whatever took it easy, and didn't go over 45% throttle. Looks like shes got tons of power!!

Here are some vids......

Valkyrie Snow Run 1
Valkyrie Snow Run 2

Whatever's just itching for some wide open field to open up that throttle!!!!
Hope you enjoy the vids....I got all the blowing snow in my face when Whatever was driving away!!!! I don't mind....I don't get MAD.....I GET EVEN!!!!!! [>:]

Very nice looking build there , but I was curious if I could see what the bottom looks like ?
Reason - seems to have a hard time starting off on the snow ( I , too , live where theres snow )
With mine , give here a touch of throttle , and she's off and running WAY more than I wanted .

Hello Terbo:

Just wanted to let you know, the hull was sticking a little in the snow because it was still warm. I had just brought it out of the house and also, I couldn't give it much throttle as it was just a small test run and we have a very small yard. I didn't want to put it through the neighbours window or anything.
