Hey Joel,
That camera of yours have a "macro" button? The pics are REAL fuzzy.
Ideas....

1. Find a hobby store
2. find a hobby store online
3. If there is a welding shop anywhere near you, call them and ask if you can have an old liner from a small mig gun.
see if they will throw in some welding wire too.
4. bicycle brake cable

Thats all I can think of. Do you have trouble with getting things shipped to the UK? [link=http://www.sullivanproducts.com/GoldnRodMainFrame.htm]Sullivan golden rod[/link] is cheap over here.

ajoelvardy,
Take a look see in the airplane part of the on-line hobby shops. Push rods, cleveses, etc. Lots of stuff is adabtable. At least get an idea of what there is, then make your own.

Ajoelvardy, you might check out this link to Tower Hobbies. This stuff or something similar will be available at most hobby shops.

I've used the Great Planes flexible cables and as with all of these examples, they can be cut to size to fit whatever application you have.

instead of rods like 4-40 ... you could also use bicycle tire spokes ... tougher than the 4-40 rod and is chromed ( gives that nice SHINY appearance ...)
