FIRST AIRBOAT! please help!
Hi guys.. i'm an airplane guy for about two years now. and this summer i'm kinda out of money and dont really want to go out and wreck some of my planes. so i figure Airboat would be the next big thing for me.
i've been searching around, and for my first airboat i would like to use coroplast because it seems it would be the best and easiest to make. beside i still have a sheet or two from my last SPAD airplane project. i currently have an extra thunder tiger 40, and extra recievers and servos.
i'm now looking for plans and tips for the forum. i need to be educated on the basics of building an airboat.. the do's and dont's. also, i need to know center to gravity for the project, what type of hull would be best for grass and water fun. how wide and how long it needs to be for a 40 size engine. what size prop?
thanks a lot for helping!

[link=http://cajungatorairboats.com/v-web/bulletin/bb/viewtopic.php?t=54]This Boat[/link] has been built with coroplast, foam, plywood, all with good results. The plans have detailed drawings and step by step instructions. If you print the plans it will take 14 pages.

Like Boatman1, I build primarily from coro. Here are links to pics and details of some of my coro builds. Might give you some more ideas.
