Good airboat for a os .35 fp ?
Well the old Tempest by Flitecraft is shot... I think the plastic they made the boat from isn't resistant to glow fuel or something. Where ever there was fuel the plastic cracked real easy.
Now it's time to transfer all the gear to a new airboat. The only one I see out there that is about the same thing is the Aquacraft Airforce airboat. I'm guessing this boat would be a little too big for my OS .35fp? Are there any other good candidates for my engine since Flitecraft is no longer making boats?

First ... the FLITECRAFT hulls are good ... just gotta remember that they ARE ABS and that in time , ANY ABS will dry out ( due to the nature of nitro )
Why not simply repair the hulls cracks ? I have a couple of flightcrafts and wouldn't give them up for the world .
( and a 35 on it was kinda small anyway .... now toss on a 46 or 61 and THEN your cooking )
FTR - the AQUACRAFT hulls are fibreglass and much heavier .

I suppose I could build a boat. There is a neat thread floating around somewhere with a guy building a airboat out of two plane floats. That looked kinda neat!
Terbobob- This hull has already been repaired once many years ago and now it's just sad to look at A few weeks back I decided to drive it on some snow (it was alrady shot) and took it off a little bit of a snow bank and did a endo. The motor mount broke free causing the prop to chew it's way through the hull... not a pretty sight. I have pic's but can't upload to this site for some reason.
