Default gas problem

alright guys im still having a problem with the carb on my air boat. I do not want to spent a lot on this, but is there anyway i can mount my gas tank below the motor even though my carb is gravity fed. Maybe some kind of vaccum valve or pressurize the tank, I dont know let me know ur ideas i badly need them the boat is almost done i need to just put the steering on and get the last bit of fiberglass done. And of caourse get the gas problem fixed ill put more pics on when it is done. Thanks.

When you say "gas"....do you mean gasoline or nitro?
You could go with a pump. The VP-40 SG Regulating pump is for gasoline.
[link=http://www.perrypumps.com/prod02.htm]Perry pump website.[/link]

It is 40 USD, but it might be well worth it.

If you could get the center line measurement of the bolt pattern on the carb, I may have a carb laying around that may fit what you have. Also the centerline measurement of the intake manifold.

This will prevent the fuel from falling back into the tank, if you mount your fuel tank below the engine center line.

not sure if thats what you need.

Got it all worked out. Major thanks to Mr. Gator, he supplied an awesome carb.
I'm using a different motor too, I'll post pics later.
I searched online for pusher props...really had no luck finding much of a selection.
Guess I'm looking for a 16" prop...plastic? Where???

I only found this 16x10, so far. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXAPX5&P=7

That prop is going to take a lot of power to turn over. what size engine do you have? Just as an example: the 36cc engine I have (only mods are a larger carb and non-stock exhaust) will spin an 18 x 10 (2-blade) at about 8000 RPM. When I mount the 16 x 10 (3-blade) that I have, on the engine, it will drop about 500 RPM.

You are welcome.
14x6 2-blade is a good choice for most stock to slightly mod'ed engines. The 16x10 requirs a lot of power to spin it at a useful rpm.

and where can I find the 14x6x2? I've searched all over. It really should be plastic, not wood?

I'm a little confused here.
The props (several) that I have are "blowing" the wrong way. I can't imagine that all 6 props of my props are pushers, as they are hard to find.
They look just like this: http://www.advantagehobby.com/produc...cat=439&page=9
Is that a pusher prop. It's supposed to be according to the description.
I need a prop where the blade faces the opposite way.

My blade goes on the flywheel side of my engine. Looking at the flywheel, the engine spins counter-clockwise.

I need a prop with the angle of the blade opposite of what's on that link above. I need a pusher prop, correct?

That number shows here as a pusher: (but no picture) http://www.apcprop.com/cgi-bin/store...1274&ppinc=apc
When I Google that number (LP1406P) to look for an image, I get this: http://www.advantagehobby.com/produc...cat=439&page=9 and this: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LX1594

If your engine is turning counter clock wise looking at it from the side the prop is mounted, and you have the prop mounted on the transom side you will need a pusher prop. most all pusher props are marked with a "P" after the number for the size. Ex:14 x 06P would be a pusher prop, which will push the air away from the engine, if the engine is turning counter clock wise.
From what you have describe your engine turns the normal direction for the props. If your prop is going on the front side you will need a puller prop, if the prop is mounted on the back side of the engine you will need a pusher. 14x06 = puller prop 14x06P = pusher prop. which ever set up you need, make sure that when the prop is mounted, that the flat side of the prop faces the transom and the rounded side is facing forward (the face of the blade itself, not the edges)

Then why do these look like pullers, even though the number is 1406P, and the page says it's a pusher?

That's a very good question....they should look like [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LX1503&P=M]this[/link]

Could you post a pic of your engine?

Guess they figured we would not look that close at the pic, so they used a puller prop. With all of the props that tower sells, it would be easy to get a pic mixed up.
