Hi I have a wee stubby glow starter battery died last year can i open it up put s new battery in it if so how do I do it took lll the plastic off seems like a sealed unit tried to unscrew it no joy I have my mates one at the mo he had the right idea a 2volt battery that the glow starter plugs into its great never had a problem and its years old but he wants it back so he can start his boat lol I would rather fit a new battery than buy a whole new unit lol

it should be able to unscrew somewhere in it....could you give a link to it?

I have done it but it is a real pain to do . You are further ahead to buy a glow starter that does unscrew and you can just change the battery . The one I did I put a 3300 NiMH in it and it lasts for a long time .

Didn't know that they had different voltage batteries over-seas ?
Normal alkaline = 1.5 rating
Normal NiMh or NiCad = 1.2
Normal LiPo = 3.7
( all ratings are in volts DC )

It'll be a lead acid cell in there, they are 2volts.
