RE: New RCAA Top Speed Record 12/8/07
Sweet video, I love the acceleration in the turns. Glad to see an airboat going that kind of speed too.
All I'm wondering is, why not put a .75 on it and see what happens? More than likely another speed record, one flying by 50mph for sure. Not sure what engine was used, but if weight is the issue behind not using a bigger motor, just a tip, the Tower engines are the lightest I've come by while searching.

Thats for the compliments!
There has been a few minor mods since this run, we are going out soon to see if we can get more out of it.

What did you do to coax a little more out of it ? Have you tried higher nitro fuel ?
Not to mention, he must be staying in the throttle a bit more. In his latest record video, you can see that he's not holding WOT for long at all. Another contributor is that he's getting acquainted with the boat.
He is running 10% in his engine. Thats what he prefers for his motors.

Looks like we are going to have some windy conditions tomorrow, 15 mph winds by noon time. More than likely no running tomorrow.

Hopefully ,the Weather Guy,is like the Guy we have up here.Reliable in his Report....Reliably Wrong..Only Report, he Gets Right is that, it will be gradually Darker, throughout the evening, and ,increasingly Brighter, towards the Morning...LOL
I`m Looking forward, to see how you make out..No sense risking your Boat..Hope you have a Good Run ..Dave
