Default engine mount help

Hi I have got a wee problem

I got a brand new SC61 a bit powerful ripped my engine mount out of the hull

so I got flat Iron put it around the hull at the back

I took my boat out last week for the 1st time in months went to a huge pond put it in it sat very low in the water and just spun round and round

So I have now ripped off the Iron

so I need to make up something to hold on the engine mounts I got some nice hard wood around 1cm thick by 4cm

im thinking of mounting the engine mount onto that bond it and screw it onto the top of the hull i have enclosed some pics so you can see what im thinking of doing your feed back would be a great help as I have a fantastic boat well did have lol

Just curious why you don't simply fibreglass the mount(s) to the hull and be done with it ? Forget the screws , forget the iron ...
