Default sc40 engine ur thoughts please

Hi got an sc 40 engine from yip e bay lol

seller says its a sweet engine got it running went okay but when i blow fuel to the carb saw some come out the main mixture screw phoned my local shop asked if the can get me a new rubber seal

hopefully get it next week im running it with a 10by7 3 blade prop is that too big as it didn't over rev or am i better with a 9 by 7

tried it with a 10by 8 prop but just too close to the hull its for the flight craft boat i was repairing not going to run it till i get the carb fixed apart from the carb it is a sweet engine bearings are spot on

i look forward to your words of wisdom kind regards stewart

Vamp,

A 10X7 3 blade is way to big for that engine. I usually run a 10X6 on .40 size engines.
For a 3 blade I run a 9X6.
