Single Rudder vs. Dual
Are there any performance issues with a single air rudder setup similar to the Dumas Windy airboat? I might go with a single rudder but I didn't know how it would work compared to a dual rudder setup.
Thanks.
Thanks.

RE: Single Rudder vs. Dual
The main advantage of dual rudders is the placement in relation to the main air flow. With dual rudders they can be tuned to aid in how the boat handles. Sliding or leaning turns, flat or raised bow turns, quickness and stability in boat response. With dual rudders less steering correction is needed.

That brings up another question, has anyone tried elevators on an airboat?
I have a 3PJ, so I could add mixing which would adjust the elevators when the rudder is turned.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.

That is something that I played around with before, but not enough to see what works, I'm sure it is something that would work well, once all of the bugs are work out.
