Default Brushless Air Boat??

I am wanting to build a air boat using a e-flight 450 or a 480 outrunner. What would be a good size air boat for these motors???

I would build around 2" long x 1"wide. That’s for a flat bottom boat using balsa to build with. Then go from their. These motors can rev harder than a nitro engine so if you get everything right you could have a very fast boat.
Just remember that heat is your worst enemy. So think about water cooling your motor and ESC. Post some pics if you build anything.

I believe he meant 2' long by 1' wide.

i had a boat made of 2'' thick insulation foam....2.5' long and1.5' wide, with a VXL brushless system on 3s lipo. i think the prop was 7 pitch 9'' long. it could move over thick grass at 1/2 throttle. i never got the hull shapped right, and it wouldnt go straight on full throttle.

a brushless powered airboat can be very fast, so take you time on the hull
