Default New project in fiberglass miss wlc-law

Started a new construction inspired miss outlaw.

The airboat will be made in fiberglass, but above all, the model will be built in foam that served as P3 mold.

The first step was to define the dimensions and after that starting to cut the Styrofoam P3

Alignment and preparation for cutting perpendicular to the Styrofoam.

Thanks Dons for monitoring the topic, your help and all will be very welcome.

Then a sample of the mess in the service area, and almost picked up my wife.

Unfortunately I made a mistake and ended up deleting about 4 pictures before that which showed the sequence of construction of the model.

I always found this very pretty model, and after so much investigating in the web and not to find manufacturer, i resolved to give beginning to this construction, and with the existent manual in the rchra I gave beginning in the construction.
I feel an immense satisfaction in building my own models.

No, I do not have misss outlaw.
So that I looked this model, I felt a desire to have one and researchers by + - 1 year, searched the web and the only thing what I found it was his photos and photos what I found in the rchra.
I used a technique widely used in model airplanes and used to advantage to this model, although it is more difficult to design in three views or photo.

Thank you,
These stimuli here in the forum are very important.
Now I'm waiting for my wife here, so she can help me to put the gypsum on the shape.
I bought 13 kilograms of gypsum to the form below.

Now, the model with plaster.
Today I intend to remove the mold and hope everything goes well.
The temperature here in my town is helping, is around 35 ° C. (95°F)
I covered the bottom and part of the side of the box with packing tape also in order to waterproof the Styrofoam.

Sweet mold work. The attention to detail in this stage will really show through in the end.

Are you going to gel coat it and hand lay fiberglass or do you have another method in mind?

Yes, I'll put 4 hands wax + 2 hands of polyvinyl alcohol in the mold and finally I'm going to gel coat it and hand lay fiberglass.

First thing is to wait for the plaster cast dry, and here the temperature is around 95°F and I believe will be dry in 3 days.

I am quite amazed at the plaster method of making a mould. have never seen this method and can not wait for the next step.

Nice work.
