Should I make this to scale - at 24 iches? Or should I scale it down?

Lastly, what battery should I use:
700mah NiMh 7 cell light, helicopter battery
600mah NiMh 6cell light, plane battery
(the above are AAA cells)
or a 1700mah NiCd heavy boat battery, 6 cell
(that is sub C cells)

You might take a look at this thread . This guy built a foam boat with about the same motor as you are looking at . He says he has part files that can be printed full size available . http://rcairboats.net/v-web/bulletin...pic.php?t=1737

Andrew, for that motor, scale the plans down so that the boat is around 18" long. The 7 cell heli batter should work ok.
Boatman thanks for posting the link.
This "One" set of plans are very detailed, and makes for a good running boat. To see a picture of how it looks and runs, just take a look at the picture under RS38-40 avatar.
The link that RS38-40 posted will also make a very good boat for the motor that is posted above.
Selp-inflicted, I'm sure that you would also agree that my one set of free plans are good.

Can't say that I can. Not sure where your coming from with that comment since I have not seen very little of that particular boat run personally that your inquiring about nor do I have any more contacts with you personally. But, I do recall last time you were down here in South Florida, my .46's gave your .61's a running.....I even recall us lining them up, I do believe there is a video of that floating around here somewhere.

Its ok that you can't say the plans are good.
If your interested in lining them up, the MABA is hosting a fall race in north Florida.
