Where to buy Shockwave 26BL???
Newb here. Great site. I have been reading posts for hours on end and feel that I am only scratching the surface.
I am going to buy a boat for my 9 yr. old's b-day and I originally had chosen the Traxxas Blast. After reading post after post about negative issues with Traxxas and limited upgrades available, I am affraid that he will grow bored with the boat in a short period of time.
Many of the post's I have read praise the perfomance of the Shockwave 26. I have been looking but can't seem to find where to buy a new SW26. Anyone have any ideas on where to buy?
First off, we will be running on small, sheltered neighborhood lakes where 20-30MPH is more than enough to have alot of fun. I am new to boats (and r/c in general for that matter) and think this will be an activity that he and I can enjoy for a long time.
So, back to the original question.......
Is the SW26 still available? I see that Proboat has the Impulse series and I have been looking at the Impulse 26, but it seems that there are more positive posts regarding the SW26. I also see that the Impulse 31 is highly praised, but not looking to spend that kind of money just yet. I want something that he and I can learn on and upgrade little by little in the coming years. 15-18 mph now with ability to reach high 20's in the future is the ideal set up for our wants/needs.
Any imput would be greatly appreciated.

LHS confirms that the Shockwave 26 has been discontinued by Proboat. He said the Horizon rep was in his store yesterday and they are discontinuing many of their popular RC models (especially planes). Look like I will be getting an Impulse 26 and working on upgrading.
Thank you to all that replied.
