Default help plz

only recently bought this boat aeromarine sprint cat, so in clueless but learning, dont these carbs have air filters on them??? its 28 cy sikk engine,

NO .. why should they need them ? Ever seen sand on the water ? ;-)

true i was thinking that !haha i knw the hood is protecting the carb from water but i take it if i flip the boat then thats it, strip down of the engine if water was suked in through the carb?? i dont plan on flipping it though and doubt a cat could flipon good water?

in the event of a flop when it starts to go over close throttle to help prevent hydrolicking thr engine after boat is fished out of the lake pull plug change fuel turn boat upside down and pull engine over untill nothing comes out plug hole add new fuel put spatk plug bach in and fire engime its best to fire the as soon as possible after flip let engine build some heat to burn off any moisture still inside the crank case
