RE: Bro ********'s Custom Boards
a few 'little' pointers that can make a 'big' difference !
seal the exposed motor mount holes with silicon - stops moisture getting in - ensure that the motors power cables are set high up to avoid moisture getting in.
seal the servo and ESC using Prestick ( poster putty) and insulation tape - add a small o-ring around the servo horn with grease.
use 'thin' solder when soldering plugs on - it has a lower melting point and makes the job that much easier.
always use plastic ties on 'all' the water pipe joints - keep the water pipes well out of the way of the battery area to avoid damage.
allow the rudder guide tube to be as long as possible to support the s/s rod from bending...on the servo end as well.
I like to have the option of running different cell count batteries - its an easy way to tune the boards performance down for a kid or a novice to have a go with it...and you don't waist your big power batts....win.... win !

RE: Bro ********'s Custom Boards
Sealing all the components as best as you can is like driving a car with air bags and safety belts - we hope never to need it - but - have them 'just in case'
Sealing the steering servo with duct tape/ insulation-tape over the joints - placing a o-ring over the post - goes a long way in keeping the servo going - even if moisture is present.
apply a dab of red rubber grease on the o-ring so that it slides easily between the servo arm and servo casing.

RE: Bro ********'s Custom Boards
How do I ship it ?
Packaging the board so that it is 'well protected' - yet - 'light' enough to keep the shipping cost down to around $70 to most Global destinations...by air..
So far I have shipped a number of boards like this and it has worked well......
I supply a complimentary board stand made from a 2L plastic container - its is simple yet very effective and helps with the packaging....the board rests on iy in the box.

Bsck online !
Saw this T-Shirt whilst out at the shops - thought it was classic.....LOL
Sent another Bro off to Oz today....for those who are interested it cost US $ 100 plus US $25 for shipping by air ( weighs around 150 grams - 5 ounces - suitable for board 650 - 750 mm long) - well proven to take the punch.
Various rash vest colours to chose from: Red - Orange - Green - Yellow....request...

RCU - simply a case of the new company using it's product
Howzit BC.....I believe that RCU was taken over by a new company who owns this software - so they are choosing to use it. Their change over has been shabby to say the least...I am really hoping that they get it sorted soon !
Yeah !...the rcSurf Big Wave event will certainly add some interest and insight to our Blogs.....I feel like I am up against the California Boyz - BUT - it only takes one Big Wave to win it and I have a good opportunity in my sights to really Go BIG !
I still feel like video entries would be far better to see a true reflection of the wave - photos for the most of it share a very scrwed picture of the reality.
Your board is looking awesome !....I'm hoping that when you receive your Bro Dude from me - it will encourage you to get it going soooner !
We have a Public Holiday to-morrow "Woman's Day".....so it is Friday over here for me .........
Hope to hit the Surf a few times this Long Week end.

My own little Bro's
My Boy'z certainly have much more heart than me nowadays for the extreme kind've stuff...I just hit the deck a little to hard now....the force of gravity seems to increase when you add weight. I'm much safer behind the camera being coach and designated driver...........LOL

not sure whats happening with RCU atm... can still access ******** and YPC... had to do a relog in via the main page first but...?
Anyway would just like to add that skateboards are like snowboards, something everyone should try/enjoy before they die ...
Ramps jumps 1/4 pipes 1/2 pipes rails n stuff nowadays (faark says the raven) wish they were around when i was younger... then again with total disregard to safety equipment back then would prob be dead or disabled... and not postin any of my crap now... lol

Sunday afternoon surf session "Chilly Afternoon" 2-3 ft face
Managed to get down to Muizenberg beach for a few good 2-3 ft face waves... late this afternoon.
As usual - even though it was a very chilly afternoon, the beach was social and happening........
Always good fun and a laugh to be had when sharing the STOKE........ !
A great example of rail to rail surfing: 4:15 into the video
Pulled a very nice 'reverse 360' in this session. 4:50 into video

Howzit Tunda....
I prefer the 'floater'....perhaps mostly because it is simply 'different'....from the traditional shape of surf board.
The set up can run from 2s to 4s batteries - around the 5000mAh size. I have recently been surfing with 4s packs but would recommend starting with 3s packs to get into it.
