Snow white !..
The client would like this board to be 100% WHITE ! ...No Decals ! .....white pigment resin infused into the laminating resin.
I like to allow for a wide cloth wrap around the rail onto the deck so as to ensure good strength in the length of the board.
Neat folds on the corners make for strong corners and easier glassing of the opposite side.

Filler Coat ...
A layer a sanding resin, infused with white pigment is applied to the laminated deck to fill in the woven cloth,
before turning the board around to add the POD.

hi brosurfer
apart from the practical and design aspects of a custom board, one of the best bits of choosing ones prefered type is having a say in how it will look, within reason of course, therefore i'm thinkin your white board customer may just want a blank canvas for painting one's own design, or hey just likes white boards
maybe your SUP customer saw a flexybro (minus paddle) riding my nearly white board....and said yeh, that'l do... haha only jokin!
all good brosurfer, had some internety time just thought i would drop in

Creating the Housing Hatch Cover...
Creating an indentation inside of the Hatch Cover is to facilitate a thicker battery than what the board thickness is.
If the actual board was made 5mm's thicker overall to facilitate the battery - its buoyancy ration would be increased by app. 15%
Which would mean it would require more weight to assist with the Self Righting.
Layer of Gel coat.
Filler paste around the protruding section to avoid air pockets. Layers of cloth build up the thickness.
I lay one layer at 90 degrees and the next at 45 degrees as I build up the thickness. This makes the
hatch itself very rigid and strong.
The hump is quite suttle - I leave the woven look so as to simulate a texture deck/wax finish...lol
