Ryobi Tune Pipe (to do) or (not to do)
I have a 31cc long shaft Ryobi and wonder what kind of power increase I would see if I added a Tune pipe. Also what size tune pipe should I try for best power gains? I will need to fabricate a header so this will be time consumming. Anyone out there have experience with this?
Thanks,
Clark

RE: Ryobi Tune Pipe (to do) or (not to do)
Sorry ... I am in the midst of the same thing . The header is the easy part . Getting the right dimensions is something different ( that is , if you planned on making one yourself )
I can tell you that with the three differnt maker pipes for Zen/QD's , that there was no difference .
Heres a link for a java prog that will aid you in figuring out the dimensions for one though ...
Good luck and keep us posted , if and what your results are .

RE: Ryobi Tune Pipe (to do) or (not to do)
Have you mounted the motor yet? The trouble with the Ryobies is that tha carb is in the back and the plug on the bottom. If you can get ahold of a Homelite or even a Mac 28-32cc
(Harborfreight has a reconditioned 28cc mac for around $60.) you're better off. If you're stuck with the Ryobi, the same pipe that'll fit the 30cc Homie should work on the Ryobi. The header may have to be modified. Give Marine Specialties a call. They have pipes for the 25-30 cc Homies
