Default Prop for 30cc Deep Vee?

I'm building a 45" deep vee with a Homie 30cc engine.
What prop do you guys suggest for submerged drive?

I have a Prather 260 now.
As I understand it, the props up to 265 have a 3/16 bore, and the 270 and larger have a 1/4 bore.

If you say I need a 270 or larger, I will just build it with a 1/4 stub shaft, instead of a 3/16.

Homelite 30cc with a big bore carb (28), and some kind of free flowing exhaust, or a pipe.

TIA,

Joe Petro

Default props

I have had great sucess with the Octura X-482 2 and 3 blade. If the engine has been heavily modified than a smaller prop may be necessary. If you are running sub- surface drive, the 2 blade will do fine. The mod motor should pull the 2 blade 482 but without some modifications, the 3 blade may be too much. Prop shop has an 80-15 that works real good on my stock Homelite as well. A Homelite is a torque motor by nature and seems to like the big props. Hope this helps, Kevin Lee Willetts
