Default cat boat

Hey all, just wanted to ask if anybody could offer up some advice on skinning a scatch built cat hull. I've got the bottom of the hull framed up to the deck line. Now I want to plank it or something and am stumped. I've only built one deep v before from scratch, and it wasn't bad to skin, but wasn't real happy. Thought I'd tap into the collective expertise and do this one right. Thanks for your time. Sheldon. ( ps I made this boat with exrta long sponsons )

Default Re: cat boat

I like glass, not real good at it, but its alway strong. I got a 60" cat hull off ebay, new from a killer mold man. Very impressive to say the least. You could use light balsa in two directions, and then glass it, but I bet others here have better ideas. I posted
pic's of the cat hull in the Jet section here, under "turbine powered boat", the one I'm building is going to have a 27 lb thrust gas turbine in it, should be awesome!

Good luck!
