Seb,
That photo is @ Greenough.
I do run the Dudes there quite often, when it is suitable.
It is quite powerful surf there for such small waves.
Gets very shallow on the inside sandbank and slams hard.
Great fun.

Surfergirl,
Sorry, I threw all my Lisa dolls in the bin, lol.

All RC Lisa Operators,

I do have a brand new, never used, Kyosho Lisa doll that I am willing to swap for a new unused 60 amp watercooled seaking ESC with deans and 3.5mm bullets connectors.
Though I don't really think anyone will be interested.
I can tell you this though, the Kyosho doll is a lot better quality than the NQD.
The colour looks waynicer and the plastic is a lot better.
Would make a really nice finishing touch to one of your great boards.

Sea ya.

well, heres what I came up with so she can ride tomorrow: I bought a plastic doll from a.c.moore, some ultra thin drywall joint tape, and plastic bonder from lowes....she kinda looks like a creature from the movie the league of extraordinary gentlemen, but it will suffice until I can buy a new doll....would love to have the real version of her and not the cheap plastic, but I gotta start somewhere

Surfergirl,
What happened to your Lisa?
Where are her arms?

The ESC I am after is about $50 on Ebay.
I don't think anyone will take me up on the offer in a hurry, but you never know.
Anyway, just get your board shredding and when you are ready you know where to get the original Lisa doll cheap.
I did see an original Lisa doll on Ebay but it had broken arms and they wanted $100 for it.
So I think my offer is fair.
Don't even worry 'bout the deans and bullets, just the ESC will do.

Have you sealed the seams on your board?
If not your board will fill up inside the hull.
Also be sure to seal inside the rudder hatch around the top of the tube because water will get inside your hull from there too.
Good luck.

1 arm is floating in the atlantic somewhere off the coast of myrtle beach lol...we did seal the rudder hatch, as my new transmitter can do the adjustments for me as far as the steering goes

yea I cant believe they want 100$ for a broken doll...Im working on her ghetto arm as we speak, and it is a similar size, but you can definately tell its a bit off

Seb,

I can't believe you only got one good offshore session.
I was lucky enough to get dozens and dozens of epic days.
I thought you were gonna move over here and surf with me.
Winter is the best over here, endless offshore days with plenty of swell and quite a few suitable breaks to choose from.
Better luck this year bro.

I can't believe how fast your board is going.
It is sooooooo sick.

Surfergirl,

My set up is pretty standard to everyone else's RC Surfer. seaking esc (90a) 3000kv motor, hitec servo (3.2kg), flexishaft etc.

Only difference is I use a 3cell 5000mah battery (required plastic surgery inside the board to fit it), I seal the inside of the hull with silicon and I use my own wing fin design.

Just buy another surfer and have spares. Trust me you will need them.

Jimi,

Your offer is hilarious! I check out the surf in WA most days on coastalwatch and it's always offshore. When I get over that way I will be in RC Surfing heaven. However the swell looks a little small. 1ft is ok, 2-3ft is better! I have heard winter is the best time for decent swells. When I settle over there, I will have to do a road trip north and have a surf with you on your best breaks.

Seb

Hey Surfergirl,
To get your photos to work make sure you use POST REPLY at the bottom left hand side of the thread.
Don't use the reply on the right side.
I had the same problem when I first tried to post a pic.

Try again!
Show us inside your board and also your riders new arm.

Seb,
Yeah mate, in Perththe surfis ALWAYS tiny.
Luckily we get a lot more swell up here.
Average surf all year round in Gero is 2 to 3 foot.
I much prefer perfect shape over size andI absolutely hate it when it is onshore.
But I do agree, it does get boring if there is not a bit of size there.
2 to 3 foot with good shape and offshore is perfect.

Greenoughshould be 5 to 6 foot on friday which means my favourite RC spots will be between 2and 4 foot.

Sea Ya.

RC Surfer Crew,

It Is Time!!!

I am gonna bust this baby open and see what I can do with this exciting little blast from the past..
Johnny Curlz reckons his wife calls it a box of bones, lol.
Well, after havinga look insideI think she is right.
But it should not be too difficult too build.
At least I have taken time to get a bit of experience with the Chineseboards first, might help a little bit.
Fingers crossed.

Somehow I think this is gonna be my favourite board when it is done.
After all, it was watching "Radio Waves" that got me so hooked on this sick passtime in the first place,
and there ain't no Chinese boards to be seen on that classic RC Surfing movie.

Wish me luck, I think I am gonna need it.
I have also written to Brendon to see If they can find me a Tubey to do up too.

Sea ya.

Funny You Remebered That Quote From Cindy !

You Will Have No Problem Building Your Original Kyosho.
Trimming The Excess PVC from the seams is the only real time Consumer.
And After The Trimming, You Will Most Likely Need To Seal The Seam
With Resin Or Epoxy.

There is a port for the exit of water from the cooling system
that was designed on the side of the hull near the area where the esc
will be held. Most Builders Have Sealed That Hole, And
Made a new one in the area where the outlet is set
on the NQD. You Will Sea What I Mean When You Get Get Started.

Email Me Any Questions You may Think of,
As I Have Built Quite A Few Of These Boards.

You Already Have The Skills, It Will Be Easier Than You Think !

Cananzi,
My second copy arrived last week and I have already watched it several times.
I just never get sick of it.
What a blast!!!!
I like to run it in slow motion, (as slow as possible) give that a go a get back to me.
Yeah the "Tubey" model would be good to get hold of.

Does anyone know where I can buy a "Boardshark" model???
I would like one of those too but I would put a Kyosho Dude on it like Goggz has done.

Sea ya

I Have Some Board Shark Hulls & decks
I Can Part With CHEAP!

They Are Taking Up Room In The Shop,
And I Dont Plan On Building Them...

The Prob You Will Run Into Is
The Shaft Size Is Different, The Deck Needs To Be Modified
To Fit A Kyosho Dude, And Most Of The parts For That Board
Are No Longer Available.

But If You Want Another Challenge
Simply Email Me Mate !
