maui i think when you go over 4s you gotta go with external bec anyway dont know why but i have read this somewhere, im guessing the higher volts require it

A board shark also fell on my lap this week, between the kyosho and board shark they are quite diffrent!! The motor on the board shark is blown but everything else is working. I think I am going focus strickly on the kyosho along with the great info you guys are providing!!
Also how do these things travel, I work for an airline so I travel quite a bit. I figure I will rig up a foam lined box and see how it goes.

On Hobby King I can see Turnigy 60A listed as $56.99 and 120A for $49.99???
Seems trange how the 60A is more expensive than the 120A.

I just can't find them at that price anywhere.
No Surf today, swell has dropped and wind is not the best, had a quick look at "Shories" but can't be bothered going anywhere else.

I was just checkin' out the Turnigy 60A Marine ESC on Hobbyking for $56.99 and one of those buy now discount tabs came up so I got 3 for $39.99 each + $9.99 postage.
Sounds like maybe that is what the Fish was trying to tell me about.
That should keep the packs burnin' for a while eh Ronker Stonker?.

Hey RC Surfer Shredders,
Anyone remember a couple of months back when I said I had a muso mate come down to"Greenough" with me at 6am on my birthday and take some video footage.
Well I saw him at the music shop this arvo and he had a laptop with him and he has edited the footage.
He has about 5 minutes of Jimi shredding nice clean offshore 2 foot rights.
This video was taken just before I glued 100g on the bottom and well before I did the flex drive, and changed to LiPo with the "Simulator Ballast" and added the reverse rocker.
As soon as I see it on his Youtube channel I will post a link.
It isCol's first RC Surf video and not a bad little vid..
He had never seen an RC Surfer before that morning but he loved it andhe is keen to do more when he can.
I am sure you will all enjoy checkin' it out when we post it.
Will post ASAP.

Went for a drive this morning not much surf on offer so I called past Bob's place and caught up with him for a chat.
Looks like plenty of swell coming on the weekend so hopefully we will get some new footage for yas to drool over.

Even with $5 postage that is $10 cheaper than the best deal on Ebay.
I have seen some stores listing them for 3 x that amount, lol.
It definately pays off to take time doingyour homework.

The boardis a copy of a "Surfcurls XT Pro" model that I made.
It is basically the same as the onesyou make and sell.
It has the same motor, esc and sevo as your boards.
It is powered by 6 cell NiMh packs, just like your boards.
It has a standard NQD rudder too.
That board has had a lot of extra work done to it recently.
Itsurfsa lot better than that now.
I think it is about 150g to 200g heavier now too.
Not a bad vid for a guy who does not surf and has never seen RC Surfing before.
