With The RC Surfer Community Growing As It Has In So Cal,
I think We Should Plan An RC Surfing Bro Down.

A Location Between Imperial Beach And Huntington
Best Suited For Rc Surfing, and the closest to the
most pilots that plan to attend.

Maybe Have It In The Next Few Months, After The Holidayz And
More Predictable Weather and Better To Plan ...

C'mon Bad Billy, Can You Get Us All On The Base
In That Secrete Spot You Have Been Enjoying All Those Empty Barrells ...

Cool Man,

It Would Be Great To Meet You In Person,
Along With Boomer, B.B. And More.
All Are Welcome ...

Bad Billy Has Access To Pendleton
And There Is This Spot The Breaks Perfect, And Is Consistent.
As A Kid, We Could Sea This Area From The 5 Frwy
And Used It As An Indicator For Oceanside.

The Best And Worst Thing About It, Is That It Is A
Designated "No Swimming" Location.

They Only Allow Shore Based Fishing, But The Military Guards
Allow RC Surfing.

Kinda Reminds Me Of Trestles Back In The Day.
I Nearly Got Arrested Surfing Uppers Many Moons Ago.

So Cal Rc Surfer Bro Down 2012 Member Attendance List So Far:

Justin - 11-15-11
Curly - 11-15-11
Saildoggie - 11-15-11 ( I Didn't Have To Ask)
KitePro - AKA ( KiteK@@K) 11-15-11

AWESOME!
Being a "no swimming" location best I rig my RC video RIB with a boom and snare for possible rescues.

That and the Go Pro Hero2!

Built this from a Reef Racer, removed the top and made it into a RIB using foam pipe insulation and Plastidip!

thats a nice rig sail but does it self right for in the surf. when i first started modding the nqd i tested it in the surf without lisa on board, first wave it hit flipped it, thats when i realised they dont right without the rider but lucky next wave flipped it back and saved me a swim lol.

get some nice waves for us down here, sounds like a great spot curly

HAHAHA! It does NOT self right as is, ran video with the camera in the pics on it, it is very stable sunny side down.

A bit of lead in the keel and a piece of foam noodle up above the camera mount otta do the trick.

The video while underway was insane, it is fast but a rough ride...we ran beers over to our nieghboring boat that ran out a while back with it, everyone loved the little RIB!

Now to devise a rescue boom, carbon fiber tube (light) that sticks out the side with a braided dacron noose and swings aft once a disabled RC surfer is snagged, towing with surfer aft is the only thing that will work unlessI put a hotter motor in this thing.

Fun chit actuallyl!

you guys are so lucky to have so many guys around the same area.
im thinking of starting to make customs and sell them like maui boys just to try get more ppl surfing rc surfers around here!! the amount of people that approch me about them ask for me to make one for them is crazy but i always decline.

Seb and myself will be surfing this weekend sometime so that should be awsome!!

Its funny when you surf for real you dont want crowds but when you rc surf you wish there was a few out :-)

Cananzi,

That Would Be Awesome !
The More Rc surfers Out In The Line Up Around The World, The Better.
The Crowds That Gather For The Rc Surfer Is Fortunately On The Beach
And Not Clogging up The Peaks ...

You Would Be Helping Build The Hobby / Sport...

As Far As The So Cal Crew, It Has Taken A Few Years
To Get his Many Crew Dedicated.

For A Long Time, OZ Had The Most Interest In The Rc Surfer
But I Feel It's Becoming More Popular On A Global Scale
Thanks To Your Efforts, And All Others On This Blog.

I say, Build Them, And Sell Them.
You Will Help Build The Sport !

Tell Seb Hi For Me, He Has Been Great
To Help This Sport Too.

lets try this:

then place url: inbetween [youtubes]: youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOxBfPxEjgI&feature=youtu.be [/youtube

edit: You have to use the COMPLETE url....so load your youtube in new tab ...copy the url...paste in between youtube][youtube here on rcuniverse

I'm guessing that is how it works for pictures....load photo up to web somewhere and use similar tactics....

edit #5: image] url [/image

Yep!

p.s. this is why I am kitekook...I build and fight Indian style fighter kites...this one is a Japanese Hata style I made a few years back.

Cananzi,
It will do, the Swallow's do seem to have a good reputation as far as I have heard.
It cost me $125 NIB on the bay.

I am meeting up with Luke at 6:00am.
Swell is up and "Pages" had some nice clean little peelers this arvo.
On the way home from work I saw that "Stockfence" is also breaking too.
Then again, after seeing those pics Bob sent the other day we could also end up at "Point Moore" if the wind is favourable.

Decisions, decisions, where do we go???
Little peeling lefts everywhere.

Sent Bobski an email this evening but no reply as yet, I hope he can make it on the dawn patrol too.
Better get to bed only 6 1/2 hours 'till I meet Luke.
Yeooooooowwwww.

Sea ya.
