RE: Prather Micro Balloon & Epoxy
Now along time ago, a gentleman from Washington State told me the Micro balloons weakens the mixture and have never used it again. Look up www.Sigmfg.com in Montizuma, Iowa make balloons out of ground up glass.

Micro ballons are not ground up glass. They are small spheres of phenolic resin. As mentioned, it's used in combination with epoxy as a filler material. Mix it very stiff and it sands like butter. Mix it loose and runny and it sands like epoxy. Micro balloons are available from West Systems. They sell/produce a very good line of epoxy as well as filler materials (micro balloons etc.).

John Palica, i'm not sure if your right me wrong but it read Sig glass resin, so your gues is a good as mine. So inessence it is the white powder of the glass. I took this of the label of micro balloons.

My world has been expanded. Research into the microballoons question has informed me and now all of you, that microballoons are both glass and phenolic. The major difference seems to be in the desired color of the resulting mix. I have always used the phenolic hense my ignorance of the existance of glass balloons. I went to this web site to get the info:

I think down to earth answers are adequate enough. I did learn there are colors that can be mixed to blend the mixture to desired repair job, that's great. End of subject and onto learning more rc tech equipment like lipo and brushless motors.
