Tester to find out the rpm of a motor
I've asked this question before on other forums years ago and never an answer. I used to tune cars and etc, and i wonder if a hand help tackommeter can be used? I wonder by hooking up the alligator clips, one to each wire ( b r ) would work. This is for 05-540 motors. Thanks in advance

Sure a tachometer will work, you just need to mount a propeller or a disc with opposing black stripes to "look like" a propeller to the tach. Or a black disc with opposing white stripes will also work, as long as it "looks like" a prop to the tach.

RE: Tester to find out the rpm of a motor
Well, thank you for the heads up on the tach, thanks! I put a jet drive in a wooden El Lobo II that i made off the original i already have and the Manufacturer says max rpm is 20,000. That was the purpose of the posting.
