Boat for pulse jet?
hehehe, giddy up, i don't think there are any commercially availible hulls that could have a pulse jet mounted. I suggest trying to build your own, because with the extreme heat of the pulsejet, you'd want to keep it away from the water, or you could ruin the jet. Also, depending on size i don;t think too many hulls are built for that kind of weight distribution. Good luck!

haha, its a home made one so i dont think you'd want it.. They arent hard to build either, plenty of designs and information around.
I was thinking about a hydroplane of some sort, if i had a jet with 2kg of thrust, what size boat would be best propelled?

i have seen a lot of designs about pulse jets, but all of them seem that you need to have a lathe and machining equipment, and a welder. I own none of these tools, plus they seem expensive to build. Do you know of any cheap and easy to build ones that would produce a few kg's of thrust??

http://users.pipeline.com.au/jcadams/designs.html
has a few known designs
http://www.aardvark.co.nz/pjet/
tells you all about pulsejets and how you can make one with limited means - a really good site that.
i think you're gonna still need a welder, or someone who can do a few weld for you, the rest is pretty straight foward, drilling and filing..

Boat for pulse jet?
i just rea this whle discussion. A HYDRO WILL NOT WORK! Hydros must have propellers because that is what keeps them in the water. Hydros ride on their sponsons and the prop SO NO JET HYDRO!!!!!!! if you are thinking of the full-size turbine powered unlimited hydros, these use a turbine engine, but it drives a propeller, not jet thrust. Sorry

As dissapointing as it may be, unless your going to drive a prop, forget the jet idea~ for the expense and the work involved, a stock homie will be faster unless all your after is a wicked sound!
Not to mention that the first ingestion of water and it's all par-boiled for you

That is great, but that is a turbine. The power and characteristics of these ,the Turbine and the Pulse Jet are completely diffferent. For example the Turbine would maybe be putting out 20lb of thrust.

r u sure its a turbine cause most turbines dont have a exhust shaft that long but well pulse jets do!! and also what sleek airboat hull u talking about flying Monkey? all u got is that thingy for a 07 engine u could always use mine!! Safe cracker Pulse jets dont need any movement to go forwards because they use air pressure from the detonation of the fuel to suck in the air throught the vanes and push the exhust out the back

I wish I could say that that pic was my boat, but it's not. I saw that on SharkRacing's webpage. I can't imagine what the swimmers and fisherman on my lake would say if they saw something like that ripping across the water.

A few good choices for jet powered boats, Blue Bird and Spirit of Australia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spirit_of_Australia
You can get 3 views of them and scale and make your own plan. Or a simple 4 point outrigger would be perfect with the pulse jet exposed for cooling. Pulso-reactor are started with compressed air and don't need speed to start (unlike ram-jet). The is quite a few on U-tube
