Custom built 1972 Atlas Vanlines Hydroplane

Hey finally, as a nube it has taken me a while to get here! Anyway, I am building a 1972 Atlas Vanlines Hydroplane that is 44" long and I am powering it with a Zenoah G26. I have quite a few questions that I am hoping some members can help me with.
    1) Has anyone ever used a inline prop and rudder instead of a offset rudder
    2) Where can I find a just a prop mount without the rudder
I try these for now to see how I make out, thanks everyone

RE: Custom built 1972 Atlas Vanlines Hydroplane

Hi why do you want to use an inline rudder ?,as far as i know all the real ones had offset ruddres usually on the left as they raced anti clockwise. As rc boats normally race clockwise they usually have them on the right but that said on a hydro it doesnt really make a difference which side.Having rudders inline causes the rudder to be in the prop wash which makes steering harder work for the servo for one.Hope this helps you out,id also love to see some pics of your boat as i myself build t boats theyre just special boats.
