NQD High Wind project dumped
Just to let you know my experience with a twin engined 70cm V-hull project I did some work on.
http://www.toys2000.de/images/produc...images/5_2.jpg Using a low cost Chinese model, I ditched the electrics, fitted proper CW and CCW 380 tuned motors, dual ESCs and a V-tail mixer to get the right signals for the motors. But it just didn't work out well; Nice speed, but terrible turning and insensitive steering. Maybe more adjustments to the V-tail mixer inputs could have done the trick, but I doubt it. So, now the hull is getting a conventional rudder and the motor will be tied together (electrically). Should I also add a turn fin? Or should I go for dual rudders instead? What rudder / fin configuration (two props, remember) would work the best? Center rudder, side fin(s)? Twin rudders, center fin? Inputs very welcome! Thanks / Mike |

RE: NQD High Wind project dumped
THe frequency should be on a sicker on the back of the transmitter. If not, open it and look on the crystal if you need to know.

RE: NQD High Wind project dumped
Don't know. I never ran it stock - I took everything out and installed a jet drive/brushless/2.4ghz system. :eek:I think I still have the stock innards around here somewhere.
