I bought my son a hand built rc hovercraft for Christmas and so far I have had to replace the motor twice. I was wondering if the combination of battery-esc-motor was correct as thr motor lasts one trip out anf then its dead! I have very little knowledge and I am new to rc so any help would be much appreciated. Here's the set up:
Battery- 5800mah 7.4v lipo
ESC Marine Water Proof 50A Brushed Speed Controller with Low Power Reverse<div>Continuous Current - 50A Forward (20A Reverse)</div><div>Maximum Current - 70A Burst
Motor- Graupner speed 600 7.2v

I'd start by talking to the seller. Did they run it in the current configuration? Can't help otherwise I'm afraid.
