Default Pull start Troubles

I have a Dynamite .28 big red, that I recived on a trade, The pull start is gone and a quick phone call to Horzion told me that they havent had replacement pull starts for the last 15 months??
would anouther pull start be compatable? The pull start holds the one way into the engine so I cant even use a bump box with this thing. Is ther some other option that I dont know about?

Thanks

You can use a bump box with it. The one-way bearing will freewheel as it does when the engine is running.

I suggest looking on eBay as for getting another pull starter.

Right as it sits right now. The one way bearing ONLY grabs when you either pull on the starter or turn the engine backwards. You can use a starter box with the engine as it sits now without any issue.

Here

http://cgi.ebay.com/Dynamite-DYNP536...item35b1aea698

I picked up a big red a few months back that didn't have the recoil starter, I had to use ebay to get one.

Make sure you have the one way bearing, as the recoil starter does not come with one.
